Project 1 Presents... 9th May 2009

As the months roll by Project1 have been hard working on new events, and building upon the early successes we have seen. Three months on from the last Project1 Presents… and a completely new line up was ready to charge into the Northampton Roadmender. Although not before the event almost collapsed with the Headliners dropping out just hours before they were due on stage.

Again providing support to open the night Milton Keynes based Altersketch were the ones deemed to do this. As they ploughed their energy into their performances, track after track you could see the crowd supporting the choice to have them in Northampton. Clips of their performance can be seen here.

The next act were the hugely talented up and coming Rockers, MORPH. Travelling for four hours just to reach the venue they had come a long way, but their performance showed no signs of tiredness. With masses of kit to help belt the tracks out you couldn’t miss this band, audible from Northampton Town Centre they were providing a sensational performance. After the awful news of our headlining act Symbo dropping out the whole event was in turmoil. A few calls were made and in the end the stage was to be graced once again, but this time as a headling slot by The Bromptons.

Once on stage the fantastic set was to follow. The band literally played their hearts out to the die hard fans, wanting to make sure they didn’t disappoint. A memorable performance from a memorable band. See footage from their performance here.

Once again another night featuring some fantastic music and the team walked away excited about the next event, as did the fans.
